Blue Star Citizenship
Blue Star Citizenship must be successfully completed before an application can be taken to attend our Blue Star Leadership level.
Leadership participants are required to attend 3 consecutive camps (January, April & July) and complete a minimum of 30hrs of volunteering between the camps at their local PCYC. A minimum of 10hrs of volunteering is required to be in the office as this contributes to the remainder of the Certificate 1 in Active Volunteering. The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze level award will be completed throughout this program, and a project will be completed within the participants local PCYC (all projects to be discussed and approved by managers beforehand).
Leadership camps will be challenging and a lot of fun. It will include a mix of leadership workshops and team building activities, we will also be completing the adventurous journeys for the Duke of Edinburgh award in the first two camps. The participants will complete the remaining modules of the Certificate 1 in Active Volunteering between camps (either online or via their workbook), along with 3 modules of the Certificate II in Community Activities. They will be given the tools and resources to complete their project throughout the program.
